Cellars & Marketing is a roundtable event that brings together senior marketing and business development professionals with a passion for wine. Hosted in an intimate wine cellar in Central London, this is a space to share ideas and stories, as well as triumphs and challenges – all while enjoying a sparkling reception, a three-course meal, and expertly paired wines.
WHAT IS THE EVENT ALL ABOUT?
Cellars & Marketing is born from a passion for both marketing and wine. Each roundtable invites professionals to dive deep into marketing conversations while enjoying a sparkling reception, followed by a three-course meal with carefully selected wine pairings.
The relaxed, distraction-free setting encourages open, candid discussions, where participants can share their marketing successes and challenges.
A Hint of what to expect
At Cellars & Marketing, we believe in creating the perfect pairing of marketing conversation and fine dining. Each event includes:
- A sommelier selected sparkling wine reception to welcome you in the specially selected wine cellar near Bank station in Central London
- A three-course meal prepared by the venue’s own chefs.
- Three wines carefully selected to complement each course and enhance the tasting experience.
- A relaxed, intimate atmosphere with Chatham House rule.
- Up to 12 other attendees
- Small group conversations to dive into key marketing topics.
- The chance to network and make new friends who share your love of wine (and perhaps marketing!)

Date and Time: Our next event is Thursday, February 6th, 2025 at 6pm. Reserve your seat.
Location: An exclusive wine cellar in the City of London, under the Don Restaurant.
Attendees: This event is aimed at CMOs, marketing directors, and heads of business development
Dress Code: Smart casual.

Each session follows a structured yet casual format:
- Sparkling reception: Each event starts in the wine cellars buried deep underneath Bank, in Central London. We enjoy a glass of hand picked sparkling wine and mingle with fellow attendees.
- Introductions: Guests share who they are, their role in marketing, and their interest in wine (all interests welcome!)
- First course & discussion: The first wine is served, paired with the first course. Participants discuss a curated marketing topic with their seated neighbour and encouraged to share their thoughts on the wine.
- Main course: The main course is paired with a second wine and further discussion.
- Dessert: Dessert is paired with our third wine. Groups share final thoughts on the challenges, and the wine, with the group (if you’d like!)
By the end of the evening, participants will have explored marketing topics, gained new insights, and enjoyed a full dining experience with expertly paired wines.

Do I need to be a wine expert to attend?
Not at all! Whether you’re a wine connoisseur or simply enjoy the occasional glass, you’re welcome at Cellars & Marketing. Our focus is on the conversation, and the wine is there to enhance the experience.
What is included in the ticket price?
Your ticket includes a sparkling reception, a three-course meal, and wine pairings selected to complement each course. You’ll also enjoy access to engaging roundtable discussions with fellow marketing professionals.
Is the event formal or casual?
Cellars & Marketing is a relaxed, informal event. We encourage open, honest conversations in a comfortable atmosphere. Dress code is smart casual.
How can I register for the event?
You can reserve your seat at one of the roundtables here.
Will I have the chance to network?
Absolutely! Networking is a key part of the event. The small, intimate setting is designed to foster connections and help you build relationships with like-minded marketing professionals.
How much does it cost to attend?
A seat costs £150 + VAT (£180 at checkout) and includes all dishes and wine.
Can I attend if I have dietary restrictions?
Yes, the venue is happy to accommodate dietary restrictions. Please inform us of any specific needs when registering, and we’ll ensure the menu caters to your requirements. Note that the paired wine will not change if your meal does.
Is there parking available?
As a Central London location, no parking is available near the venue. A short taxi journey from your location, or public transport is suggested.
What if I don’t like wine, can I still come?
The experience is designed around wine tasting, with each course paired with a specific wine to enhance the discussions. If you’re not into wine, this event might not be the best fit, as wine plays an integral role in the evening.

Iain Scott is the founder and CEO of Base Creative, a digital marketing agency he launched in 2006.
Beyond his passion for marketing, Iain has a deep love for wine. Whether exploring vineyards in Europe and the US or discovering hidden wine gems right here in the UK, he has travelled the world with a wine glass in hand. His passion for wine is backed by a Level 2 WSET certification, enhancing his appreciation and understanding of the craft.
Iain created Cellars & Marketing as a way to bring together his two greatest interests – marketing and wine – in a relaxed, yet insightful environment.
